No one knows the exact origin of demon spirits although it is certain that God did not create them in their present form even as he did not create Satan and his fallen angels as they presently are. The Bible does not give a full account of this civilization because it is a written history of God’s dealing with mankind on this present earth.
Demons are disembodied spirits that are always seeking to possess humans. (Mathew 12:43-45)
Demons on one occasion besought Jesus, “that he would not send them away out of the country” (Mk5:10). Jesus granted their wish. It seems that demons wish to stay in certain localities which may have been the scene of their sin on the original perfect earth.
Their effort to re-employ themselves in human beings is looked upon as evidence that they once possessed bodies similar to humans.
I was raised up hearing the word of God. I can even remember being oppressed by demons as a child. I saw things and heard things i could not explain. I even tried to commit sucicide at the age of 11. Eventhough I didnt know alot about Jesus I still believed in Him. I told everyone I knew about Him. What I did know. As I grew older the oppression stopped. I stepped out in the world head first. Some of the things ive done i wouldnt even tell a dog. No matter how far I got out there, I still could hear God. I would fight it and try to run from the truth. It got so bad ppl I didnt know would walk up to me and tell me things I knew only God knew. God put me in a place where I had to turn to Him or Die. I choose Him. To God be the glory.
I first Heard about the cross in 2008. I didnt understand how I missed it. Ive read the bible all my life but never understood the significance of Jesus Crusifixtion. To God be the glory I now know. I moved back with my father who preaches the cross in his home. The attacks started back. I call on the name of Jesus and pray the blood over my life. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and I accept His sacrifice on the cross as my only means of salvation. Im not complaining, but I feel alone sometimes. I hate being tormented by demons. I see them again and hear them. Im not afraid of them but Im tired. I struggle some times with my faith being in Christ and Him Crusified. I ask God to help me. I have put all my problems on the cross today. Im in need of rest. So to all who read this, pray for your sister in Christ and my children. I think God for leading me and my family to Jimmy Swaggart Ministries. I need to get out of the place that i am in me and my children. Pray for us. God bless.
I have a couple of questions regarding demonic spirits or evil spirits....I have been a born again christian for almost 3 years and I still have a bad habit of cigarette smoking and just being irritable.....I do not want to have either one of these habits or traits and I want deliverance...I have tried to kick the habit but I just can't do it on my own will I have tried....The question I have is this...Are there some kind of spirits around me or spirits making this hard for me because Lately i have been having thoughts I would not normally have and things happen that do not normally happen....I was just wondering considering that I was oppressed as a teenager by demonic spirits....have they come back and how do I get deliverance???? I accepted Christ at the age of eight. I received most all the gifts of the spirit and truly I have tasted Christ. At the young age of 15 I met a young man and his family who drove me into the pits of hell itself. Year after year I became more lost in Christ, I practically turned my back on the Holy Spirit. Within 20 years of physical and verbal abuse I was lost, full of hate, cursing, I didn't take care of my life or health. I was not myself anymore, well I simply had to find my way back to my Savior, it has been hard. Once we open the doors of sin the enemy comes in and makes our bodies a place to dwell, evil and demon spirits became my way to communicate as who I had become, and soon the filth spewed from me, I lost focus, I lost the love God showed me that He has for mankind, God is a master at communication, He gave me that gift also, but it was backed up by wisdom and love. I lost it, I lost focus. After some years I was led to a group of christians willing to pray for me, I suffered from extensive abuse as a child and than as an adult, it took its toll on me spiritually. One of a demon that I "contracted" was a spirit of nicotine, even when I was not around cigarette smoke, I still smelled tobacco, I craved tobacco, I felt that I was not in control of my own will, I did not like smoking at all, it is a spirit, Jesus came to set the captives free, resist the devil and he will flee, but I would also say that a group of christians laying hands on you, all at the same time, until you are free, and rebuking the spirit is one of the most sure ways of getting free! One can chase a thousand, two can chase 10,000! never give up, no mater what. God is with You.
Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. THAT is your deliverance. You don't need people laying hands on you, although it is better to have more people gathered together in faith, Jesus came to set the captive free. If you put your FAITH in that Finished Work, and keep it there, and TRUST it, He WILL set you free, instantly. INSTANTLY! No DEMON power, spirit, or PRINCIPALITY CAN HOLD FAST BEFORE JESUS CHRIST AND WHAT HE DID. Jesus Christ is within you. When you keep your faith in the Cross as the means of your deliverance, all evil SHALL flee from you.
I was demon possessed, and it was a very powerful demon. This was before I was saved, many years ago. The demon said a lot of things and one of the things it said I have never forgotten. It said it's mother was human but it's father was an angel. It claimed that demons were half human and half angel and when they were killed or in it's case, killed in a flood, they were unable to go to hell or the abyss or to heaven and are stuck here on earth. I have thought about telling you this for about 5 years now, what the demon made me do, what it cost me, what I did and so on. I was saved and born again listening to sonlife radio back in 2003, Jesus saved my soul and sonlife radio saved my life.

I know some believers, think that many born again christians, have demons inside of them, and need deliverance. Do you believe this to be true?

yes, it is true. Christians can have and many do have demons inside of them, and need deliverance. The Holy Spirit lives in our spirits. Demons live in the souls of people. We as humans have a spirit, a soul, and a body. We are spirits, we have a soul, and we live in a body. There are excellent books out there that can address your concerns. There are also generational curses that effect Christians lives also. I am not sure this is proper, because this is Pastor Swaggart's website, but may I suggest a couple of books? One is named "Pigs in the Parlor" by Fred and Ida Hammon. and the other one is "Blessing or curse" by Derek Prince. Hope this helps.

I believe that it is not possible for Christians to become demon possessed.Here's the reasons i believe so:
1.The Bible says:"..greater is He who [is] in you, than he who is in the world." 1Jhn.4:4
2.If demons had to ask Jesus Christ permission to enter pigs how much more are we who are bought by His precious blood off limits.Mark5:12
3.Jhn.14:23 "Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." This is a union that no demon would want to come near to.
4.There is no place found in scripture where Jesus and the Apostles cast out demons out of believers. hope this is helpful. God bless.

If one is truly saved we cannot become possessed..
Now oppressed is a whole other issue..
So the focus should be have they really met Jesus @ the foot of a Holy Cross?

Sometimes I sit and ponder about the knowledge we will one day have about these things! What a glorious day that will be!
I plan on getting 'God's plan for the Ages' soon. I have other materials from the ministry but for some reason have not got that one yet!
