The Bible was written over a 1500 year span of time; written over 40 generations by more than 40 authors, from every walk of life – including Kings, peasants, philosophers, fisherman, poets, statesman, scholars, etc.
The Bible was written in different places. Moses was in the wilderness; Jeremiah in a dungeon; Daniel in a Palace; Paul inside prison walls; Luke while traveling; John on the Isle of Patmos.
The Bible was written at different times; David in times of war; Solomon in times of peace.

By Gabriel SwaggartQuestion: “Is it scriptural for a Believer to drink?”
As a Youth Pastor, there are several questions that constantly come up, and one of them has to do with the Believer and alcohol. Many will say that it’s OK to drink alcohol, just as long as you do it in moderation. They will use the Lord’s Supper and the First Miracle of Christ to support their claim.

Jesus did use the phrase, “The fruit of the vine,” in Matthew 26:29, Mark 14:25, and Luke 22:18.

Some have claimed from these passages that it’s satisfactory to drink in moderation, providing it’s done at the right time and the right place, etc. That’s not what the Scripture is saying here. In fact, this is a prohibition against strong drink in any
