Since the beginning of the New Year our nation has been confronted with change. A new paradigm of social order now plagues us. The announcement of a new governmental budget that will be over $3.5 trillion; with a budget deficit estimated to be nearly $1.8 trillion(?) Our nation hasn’t seen a $1 trillion budget from the time of its founding until President Reagan took office. A new Administration, coupled with a liberal Democratic Party majority, is maneuvering to change society with everything from mandatory volunteerism, health care reform, education reform, and globalization.
PEDOPHILES PROTECTED?
As scary as that may be, we recently watched the House of Representatives pass H.R. 1913, The Hate Crimes Prevention Act, by a wide margin. This bill will now make pedophiles a protected class of citizens with more rights than their victims. Matt Barber of Liberty Counsel says, “Passage of ‘hate crimes’ legislation would place the behaviorally driven and fluid concepts of ‘sexual orientation’ and ‘gender identity’ on an equal footing with legitimate, neutral, and immutable ‘suspect class’ characteristics such as skin color or a person’s true gender. This creates both a sociopolitical and legal environment wherein traditional sexual morality officially becomes the new racism.”
THE HOMOSEXUAL LOBBY
The proponents of H.R. 1913 claim it’s needed to curb an epidemic of so-called “hate crimes” committed against homosexuals and those who suffer gender identity disorder. This is a lie that is knowingly and intentionally cultivated by a very well-funded and intrinsically deceptive homosexual lobby. The alarmist propaganda simply doesn’t square with the facts.
THE TRUTH!
According to the latest FBI statistics, in 2007 there were about 1.4 million violent crimes committed in the U.S. Of those, only 1,512 were reported as “hate crimes” motivated by “sexual orientation” bias. Over two thirds of those were allegations of “hateful” words, touching, intimidation, pushing, or shoving. There were a mere 247 cases of aggravated assault (including five deaths) allegedly motivated by “sexual orientation” bias nationwide. In each case, where appropriate, offenders were prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and victims were afforded the exact same justice guaranteed every other American.
Our nation is being “hoodwinked” by liberals that do not represent the mainstream of Americans. We must “Act for Liberty.” Our freedoms will be removed if we do not unite in prayer, and take action by calling and writing our Representatives and Senators.
Jesus said to Capernaum, a city that had been blessed with great Spiritual Prosperity:
“And you, Capernaum, which are exalted unto Heaven, shall be brought down to Hell: for if the mighty works, which had been done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day” (Mat. 11:23).
THE ONLY ANSWER IS THE LORD
The United States of America has been given great and exceeding Blessings above every nation by God, yet, potentially stands at the precipice of collapse for its sin, the rejection of God. There is hope for our nation though. Our Lord’s very Name means “hope” to millions that reside in the U.S., and many who envy us abroad. It’s not our Legislators and Senators that make us strong. It’s not the voice of those who cry out for change. It’s the Blood-bought People of God crying out to Him for Mercy and for the Light of the Gospel to shine forth across our land. There’s only one way we can stand united in these dark and immoral days and that is to be the Light that God has called us to be. God said through the prophet Isaiah:
JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED
“So shall they fear the Name of the LORD from the west, and His Glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a Standard against him” (Isa. 59:19).
Israel of old was promised by God that if she obeyed God’s Commandments that, “Neither shall any man desire your land” (Ex. 34:24). It’s time to repent! It’s time for the church to be the Light of God once again. Preach the Word uncompromisingly and with conviction! God will honor His Word and we shall see a great and mighty Harvest and then shall the Trump of God sound. The true Servant of God is the Servant who speaks the Truth in love. The Purpose Driven movement is not of God. The Government of 12 is not of God. The Emergent church is not of God. The Word of Faith movement is not of God. There’s only one Message as the Light for men to find Salvation and Sanctification; Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. There’s only one method that God has chosen to present His Message of Hope and that’s preaching the only Message.
“So then Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God” (Rom. 10:17).
