One of the gross sins that is wrecking our youth today is the sin of homosexuality. With the help of television channels such as MTV, as well as the use of the Internet, homosexuality is becoming more acceptable with every day that passes. Because of the predominance of the homosexual agenda, the question must be asked, “Is homosexuality a sin?”
WHAT THE BIBLE HAS TO SAY
According to the Word of God, it is a sin, and a gross sin at that. To completely understand what I’m saying, let’s take a look at what the Bible says about this “lifestyle.”
It must be understood that homosexuality is a sin against society, against nature, against the human body, (for the body should be the temple of the Holy Spirit), and against God. Romans 1:26-27 of THE EXPOSITOR’S STUDY BIBLE tells us:
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections (the Lord removed His restraints and, therefore, gave them unimpeded access to their desires): for even the women did change the natural use into that which is against nature (in short, speaks of Lesbianism):
“And likewise also the men (homosexuality), leaving the natural use of the woman (speaks of the sex act which is performed between the man and his wife), burned in their lust one toward another (raging lust); men with men working that which is unseemly (specifies its direction, which is total perversion), and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet (refers to the penalty attached to wrongdoing).”
SATAN’S WICKED SCHEME
This great sin of homosexuality and lesbianism are Satan’s wicked and devilish scheme against God’s highest Creation, mankind. Satan hates man because man is created in the Image of God and the Breath of God is actually in man. As a result, man’s body should be the temple of the Holy Spirit. The sin of homosexuality is Satan’s strongest and most meticulous effort to destroy the human race, and if this horrible sin would become more and more commonplace, which it slowly is, Satan’s end would be quickly achieved, for humanity would cease to exist.
Under the label of freedom, there is a widespread movement amongst this nation that we should legalize homosexual marriages. Once again, this goes against the very fabric of human nature, and more importantly, against God! The Bible plainly tells us in Leviticus 18:22:
“You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination (proclaims the terrible sin of homosexuality; whatever man says, God says it is an abomination; God help America to see the awfulness of homosexual marriages).” Here it is in plain sight, homosexuality is a sin, for God calls it an “abomination.”
WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF HOMOSEXUALITY?
Many homosexuals throughout the years have claimed that they were born that way. That is not correct! While Satan might make his play on a child of a tender age, no person is born a homosexual. But, every child is born in original sin and that in and of itself has problems and difficulties unparalleled. Now, some children are definitely born with tendencies leaning towards a certain direction, more so than others, and homosexuality can be one of those tendencies. However, that is a far cry from being born a homosexual.
Many times, a person, even a child, becomes a homosexual, in most cases, because an older person molests them. And, to be sure, demon spirits are at work and are definitely involved. Now, this is not the case for everyone who has been molested, but many turn out this way.
Also, what makes this terrible sin so dangerous is that homosexuals recruit other people. With this sin, multiple thousands of young boys and girls are enticed into this web of deceit because of promises, or being gullible. No, a person is not born this way, but rather becomes this way through yielding to temptation, and by examples portrayed over television and the movies, etc. In fact, TV, the movies, etc., draw more people into this evil web than anything else.
THE CROSS IS THE ANSWER
To be sure, as there is this problem of homosexuality, there is also a cure for this sin; and that cure is the Cross of Jesus Christ. There is no power of darkness that the Cross of Jesus Christ cannot break, and there is no sin too bad that His Blood cannot cleanse! It doesn’t matter how deep one might be in sin, or even how deep one might be in homosexuality, Jesus Christ can change your life. All one has to do is accept Him, and believe that what He did at Calvary was enough to break that bondage of sin in your life.
It is impossible to be a homosexual and a Child of God. God never saves one in sin, but He saves one out of sin. He takes that person out of that lifestyle, and places them into Christ (Rom. 6:3-5). Because of that change, the Holy Spirit now has the ability to work in the life of that person to take out the bad and put in the good.
America’s hope is the Lord Jesus Christ. Man’s only hope is the Lord Jesus Christ. The homosexual’s hope is the Lord Jesus Christ. Trying to normalize this sin will not make it work, for it only makes it worse. The Cross of Christ is the only answer for the homosexual, as well as for all sin, and it will ever be the only answer for all sin. This is God’s Way, and there is no other way.
In Him,
Pastor Gabe

MY QUESTION IS DO YOU HATE HOMOSEXUALS THEN?
Amen people, God didn't intend it to be that way.
The truth sets us free.
Tell the truth and shame the devil!
Amen people, God didn't intend it to be that way.
Deep down we all know God exists.
Man can't calculate the guilt out of himself. I don't need no proof that God exists he's all over everything.
First and foremost I would like to say that I was a lesbian before I became saved. If many of you knew the history of the church and why they have hidden what they have from society; then you would not be so quick to judge. Learn what Jesus meant by natural born eunuch. I myself have always known you can not always go by the letter of the law. I have struggled and am convinced things are not always what they seem. I would like to say I love brother Donnie and even though he may call me queer, he is still my brother in Christ.
Peace be with you always,
Hunter
Sister Swaggart
I grieve and cringe everytime when I hear about the support for homosexual marriages and adoption of babies. I was raised in a lesbian home from the time I was 3-12 years old. The community of gays have many issues that people choose to hide and not talk about. The abuse in all the families I knew was great. Every home in which had children who were being raised by homosexuals were plagued with violence. The torment of growing up and going to school when people knew my mom was gay! The looks, the fights, the names, kids would call me was terrible. Having two moms on mothers day and being forced to call a woman mom who was not my mom. I and ALL the other kids I knew who were raised like this were very angry many depended on drugs and even would run away. My mom's lesbian lovers' daighter, who I grew up with was kidnapped by a gay freind of my moms at the age 15 and she was locked in a house and turned gay. No charges were pressed for the community would get upset. To this day that little girl even though grown is still gay but struggles with wanting to be right! I was physically abused and mentally abused. I didn't have the priveledge to be raised in Jesus and at first chance I moved to Texas with my dad. I had alot of anger towards my mom but have forgiven her and love her dearly now. I grew up with no rules no direction. I started doing drugs at 12 stealing cars and breaking into houses. I had no respect for people and was even sexually active. At the age of 15 I found myself in prison facing a life sentence for murder. I was a latin king gang member and wore a pentegram around my neck with a crown. However I awoke in prison AND WANTED TO DIE. A man gave me a Bible and the gospel message and in a little cell at age 15 I gave my heart to Jesus Christ. "I prayed if you are real Jesus then please HELP ME SAVE ME" He saved me and filled me with His Holy SPirit and turned a life sentence into a message. I struggled in religion for years and even served in The Army Honorably during this time but could not get the victory it wasn't until 2004 when reading the Bible and struggling with OCD that a small voice told me the victory was won 2000 years ago at Calvary. The freedom came and the Cross has been being revealed since then. I came to WEBC in 2007 and my mom came down for camp meeting and gave her heart to Jesus. She loves our Church and even quit smoking drugs. She now ministers to me! We serve a mighty God who can do anything! If He can save a wretch like me and deliver my mom he can save anyone! The answer is the Cross of Christ and must be proclaimed. Please keep thundering against homosexual rights and abilities to adopt. These families involved in this hide the real truth and the kids suffer. I always wanted to have a stable home when I was kid and hated the abuse of having a gay mom. This testimony has been short but I hope it helps.
God Bless
Shaun C.
I would like to mention that I listened to the speech Obama gave to the gays in which he said that they have a right to love each other and commit to each other. It is a pitiful time in our nation when our leader is as crazy as this, which makes me wonder if he has had homosexual encounters as has been alledged. One man who was suppose to have had an encounter with him turned up mysteriously dead of a gunshot wound in his apartment. This man attended and was involved in Obama's church. Check it out. Our President is full of surprises. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a closet Muslim who was primed for his position! To the Swaggart family, I say, keep preaching the truth! Thank you Frances. I only wish more pastor's wives had as much guts as you have. Too many of them are into their husband's prosperity movement instead of standing for the gospel no matter what!
I don't think anyone can give you a better answer than the one you have delivered yourself. That in itself is an encouragement from you to me.
"I know that it is a sin. I know the answer is in the cross"
For me personally , that coming from you while at the same time saying you feel torment , gives me Hope. The first thing I ever hear from people not understandiing the why and the feelings when going through difficulty is that they are justified in what their actions are or that their problem is unique.
I am just a person like you so I can't impart an instant anesthetic to you, but you have shown me Hope lies within you. I can't think of many people not touched by Christ who can make the same testimony you have just made. Christ hasn't lied yet. Hold to Him.
Hold to Hope.
Hope does not put us to shame, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us;
Romans 5:5
I know that it is a sin. I know the answer is in the cross but if you are saved then why do you still have the same feelings and the mind is tormented. I know deliverance is the answer but you can pray and pray and the deliverance of the mind never comes.
I've been there, and it wasn't until I COMPLETELY cut myself off from the friends, lifestyle, clubs, etc. that all this came to an end. Scriptures tell us that "Bad company, corrupt good character". I asked God one day to take the desires completely away from my heart, and as Faithful as He is... one day, they were gone!! I saw a similar thing happen to a close friend of mine who was a cocaine addict, she asked God to take the desires from her after being addicted for over 9 years morning to evening, day in, day out and then over night (8 years clean now ) the desires were gone!! Many say only a clinic can do that, well... I say, OUR GOD IS ABLE!!! She and I have been prayer partners for years now and we celebrate every July 27th her anniversary date. God is good, trust Him. Tell Him your true desires, although He knows them... I found out He loves to hear your voice, not only your thoughts. He changed my life completely and I have to admit, at first I was only half willing cause I didn't want to lose my friends. You'll quickly learn who your true friends are when you make a lifetime commitment and change to Honor God. Although they all turned their backs on me, God never did or never has and guess what; He blessed me with more than enough friends, brothers and sister all in Christ. Nothing would make the devil more happier than to see you struggling and standing by to watch you backslide, so grab your "FULL ARMOUR" and hold on to God's hand, your going to overcome this with God's love, you'll see. I've been lesbian free now for over 10 years and have no desires in turning back!
When a person gets saved God brings them through it day by day or from glory to glory. A person that is a homosexual isn't always delivered from this the moment they are saved. It's like someone that smokes or drinks and gets saved. Some are instantly delivered and some are not. When I got saved 19 years ago I smoked for almost a year. Couldn't seem to get deliverance. I had smoked for 16 years. I didn't acquire such a habit overnight and sometimes you don't get rid of things overnight.I did eventually quit because God offered me something better if I did and I wanted it so bad I quit.A lot of homosexuals believe when they go to the altar they are going to be instantly zapped out of that lifestyle they have been living for years. They should give it to God and not give up. They may fall under it but they need to get back up and not give in and trust God.God forgives and will work with them. I have heard this so much from homosexuals. I went to the altar but I still felt the same urges. So I suppose there's no hope for me. That's not true. It's a lie from the devil. Don't give up whoever you are. Get back up when you fall under these temptations. Keep going on with God and let him bring you out one day at a time. He will. He loves you and wants you out of this lifestyle as much or more than you do.Deliverance will come just hold on and don't be afraid of your sin. Psalms 23 says, The lord is my shepherd I will fear no evil. Don't be afraid of the evil that is in you. Give it to the shepherd and he will lead you out.
It may not happen over night for you but if you continue to put your trust in what Christ did for you at the cross he will deliver you. Hold on, don't give up. The children of Isreal may have been discouraged after pharoh continued to said no to them leaving but eventually he had to let them go. Joseph was in prison many years before he was freed. Paul was in prisoned many days but keep praising God. I can go on and on about the people of God suffering or being bound but I'll just some it up and say hang in there He will deliver you.
Christians don't question our own Salvation with ifs, buts or ands. So "if" (you really have been saved, you truly would have said yes to your personal Savior who died on the Cross to take that sin you know is a SIN away) in short -- your "IF" questioning is the answer to your very own question...It's A simple answer to what's causing all that torment in your not yet fully renewed mind!!! There are many examples in Jesus' travels...His traveling from town-to-town that reflect that your "FAITH" isn't sufficient enough to save a doubting "THOMAS" such as yourself yet...But the very best two that could possibly help someone like you to see the "LIGHT" -- would be the one about (His 1st loyal female follower out-side of his very own immediate family), the one that was about to be stoned to death for being caught in an act of adultery (though her real profession must have been prostitution): before Jesus gave her the opportunity to be saved by her very own "FAITH!" (John 8:1-11)(Mary is her name even though Christianity's "Scriptural History" doesn't give us a clear insight on who she was by name)...It has been written about her: that she's supposed to be the same woman who followed Christ Jesus all of the way to the foot of his Cross -- and originally the first female disciple to take Jesus' Gospel message beyond the Holy Land -- especially when believing that she was in possession of the CUP (THE HOLY GRAIL CUP) as Christians know it -- that our Lord and Master Jesus Christ used to usher-in for certain, (Our New Covenant Church's building-up of Created Souls) beginning with his very own disciples that he shared his last meal with, during his Last (OLD), but so-too his First, (NEW) Covenant's "PASSOVER" supper. Our 2nd example (though there are many more), of our needing to be leaving our SINFUL past life-style without any doubt (YES) leaving it (our corruptible past life) all behind us -- through our "REVIVED FAITH" knowing that -- only Jesus Christ's sacrificing of his own flesh and blood life graciously, on his Cross as God's only begotten SON, was in place for our sinful past life. Our "REALITY" of redemption from GOD that our Creator GOD now sees in our renewed Christian life-style!!! This picture we should have drawn in our own mind by our Savior's own words (of our no-longer needing a material kind of crutch to keep us high on life in our new found Christian FAITH)...(YES) this is a vision most Christians should've (but unfortunately many have missed, within literally so-many of Christ Jesus' healing miracles). We (YES) we should have gotten his whole down-to-Earth concept of living healthier, a Faith-like-Christ-life-style when he told those paralized folks, some who'd been sick or invalids since natural child birth, to pick-up their mats or get-rid-of what-ever is keeping us down in our FAITH LIFE and go, better yet, come home. (Matthew 9:1-8, Mark 2:1-12, Luke 5:17-26) and last but not at all least, John who gives us as Loyal Kingdom Christian Citizenry -- a much clearer visional picture of a renewed life in Christ -- in his eyewitness account in Chapter 5:1-15)
If you read the Psalms you can find a lot of angst and questionable "ifs" in the cry of David's heart as he goes through situations.
Even Christians who are not on the hot seat let out some words that are not a simple "yea or nay"" as in your retort above. Some people who still have feelings cry out when they get whacked in the head.
You pick one word out of all that someone struggling said and condemned her.
Check out Psalms:
My soul also is greatly troubled and You, O Jehovah, until when?
4 O Jehovah, return, deliver my soul; save me for Your mercy's sake.
5 For there is no memory of You in death; who shall give thanks to You in Sheol?
6 I am weary in my groaning; I shall make my bed swim in all the night; I melt my couch with my tears.
7 My eye is dim because of grief; it wastes away because of all those distressing me.
Thats bigger than one little if. Like everything else you have to take it all in . Someone brave enough to declare that they know what the answer is and that sin is the problem and you are brutal for an "if".
"IF I have done this, IF there is iniquity in my hands,
4 IF I have repaid evil to one at peace with me " Psalms 7
If there is no doubt ther really is no Faith. The doubt may not come from us and may reflect in our voice, but we are still human and it rolls out. If we already posses a thing it requires no Fith becauuse we already have it in our hand.
There is a great gulf in the mind from the urgent need until the answer arives. People who still have hearts cry out.
"I suffered reproach for Your sake, shame has covered My face.
8 I have become a stranger to My brothers and a foreigner to My mother's children.
9 For the zeal of Your house has consumed Me; and the reproaches of the ones who reproach You have fallen on Me.
10 When I humbled my soul with fasting, it also was to my reproach;
11 I also made sackcloth my clothing, and I became a mockery to them.
12 They who sit in the gate spoke of me; and I was the song of drunkards" Psalms 69
