One of the gross sins that is wrecking our youth today is the sin of homosexuality. With the help of television channels such as MTV, as well as the use of the Internet, homosexuality is becoming more acceptable with every day that passes. Because of the predominance of the homosexual agenda, the question must be asked, “Is homosexuality a sin?”
WHAT THE BIBLE HAS TO SAY
According to the Word of God, it is a sin, and a gross sin at that. To completely understand what I’m saying, let’s take a look at what the Bible says about this “lifestyle.”
It must be understood that homosexuality is a sin against society, against nature, against the human body, (for the body should be the temple of the Holy Spirit), and against God. Romans 1:26-27 of THE EXPOSITOR’S STUDY BIBLE tells us:
“For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections (the Lord removed His restraints and, therefore, gave them unimpeded access to their desires): for even the women did change the natural use into that which is against nature (in short, speaks of Lesbianism):
“And likewise also the men (homosexuality), leaving the natural use of the woman (speaks of the sex act which is performed between the man and his wife), burned in their lust one toward another (raging lust); men with men working that which is unseemly (specifies its direction, which is total perversion), and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet (refers to the penalty attached to wrongdoing).”
SATAN’S WICKED SCHEME
This great sin of homosexuality and lesbianism are Satan’s wicked and devilish scheme against God’s highest Creation, mankind. Satan hates man because man is created in the Image of God and the Breath of God is actually in man. As a result, man’s body should be the temple of the Holy Spirit. The sin of homosexuality is Satan’s strongest and most meticulous effort to destroy the human race, and if this horrible sin would become more and more commonplace, which it slowly is, Satan’s end would be quickly achieved, for humanity would cease to exist.
Under the label of freedom, there is a widespread movement amongst this nation that we should legalize homosexual marriages. Once again, this goes against the very fabric of human nature, and more importantly, against God! The Bible plainly tells us in Leviticus 18:22:
“You shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination (proclaims the terrible sin of homosexuality; whatever man says, God says it is an abomination; God help America to see the awfulness of homosexual marriages).” Here it is in plain sight, homosexuality is a sin, for God calls it an “abomination.”
WHAT IS THE CAUSE OF HOMOSEXUALITY?
Many homosexuals throughout the years have claimed that they were born that way. That is not correct! While Satan might make his play on a child of a tender age, no person is born a homosexual. But, every child is born in original sin and that in and of itself has problems and difficulties unparalleled. Now, some children are definitely born with tendencies leaning towards a certain direction, more so than others, and homosexuality can be one of those tendencies. However, that is a far cry from being born a homosexual.
Many times, a person, even a child, becomes a homosexual, in most cases, because an older person molests them. And, to be sure, demon spirits are at work and are definitely involved. Now, this is not the case for everyone who has been molested, but many turn out this way.
Also, what makes this terrible sin so dangerous is that homosexuals recruit other people. With this sin, multiple thousands of young boys and girls are enticed into this web of deceit because of promises, or being gullible. No, a person is not born this way, but rather becomes this way through yielding to temptation, and by examples portrayed over television and the movies, etc. In fact, TV, the movies, etc., draw more people into this evil web than anything else.
THE CROSS IS THE ANSWER
To be sure, as there is this problem of homosexuality, there is also a cure for this sin; and that cure is the Cross of Jesus Christ. There is no power of darkness that the Cross of Jesus Christ cannot break, and there is no sin too bad that His Blood cannot cleanse! It doesn’t matter how deep one might be in sin, or even how deep one might be in homosexuality, Jesus Christ can change your life. All one has to do is accept Him, and believe that what He did at Calvary was enough to break that bondage of sin in your life.
It is impossible to be a homosexual and a Child of God. God never saves one in sin, but He saves one out of sin. He takes that person out of that lifestyle, and places them into Christ (Rom. 6:3-5). Because of that change, the Holy Spirit now has the ability to work in the life of that person to take out the bad and put in the good.
America’s hope is the Lord Jesus Christ. Man’s only hope is the Lord Jesus Christ. The homosexual’s hope is the Lord Jesus Christ. Trying to normalize this sin will not make it work, for it only makes it worse. The Cross of Christ is the only answer for the homosexual, as well as for all sin, and it will ever be the only answer for all sin. This is God’s Way, and there is no other way.

Yes without a doubt it is a sin and one of the hardest spirits to be delivered from due to the desires of the flesh and alot of people live souly in the flesh and striving to live in the spirit! "The spirit is willing but the flesh is so weak" and its very hard to always live in the spirit because human nature is surrounded by sin....I am a pastors child and my father is a VERY GOOD and personal friend to brother Jimmy....I have quite a few friends that live this lifestyle and I know this is my ministry to love these friends as Christ Loves everyone...BUT CHRIST got on the cross and shed his PRECIOUS blood for SIN and SIN alone he didnt get on the cross and say Im gonna die for only the sins I am choosing...NO SIN is greater than the other just some sins are extremely hard to be set free from because as I said we as sin nature humans feed our flesh with things we shouldnt...and it will not help a homosexual by the absolutely degrading words you used as them being discusting and nasty because right there you have lost their willingness to want to be delivered in their search of deliverance because you are saying in the first sentence of your teaching that makes them feel they are too nasty for GOD to free them, you are telling them their sin is the worst and in my 30 years of being a PK I was taught that SIN is SIN no matter what it is....you have to be gentle to these people because they are only looking for love and choose the wrong thing in finding love because the GREATEST gift GOD gave to us is LOVE, because GOD is LOVE...so try to give them a reason to trust you by you letting them know u LOVE them no matter the sin and when you love sinners you arent supposed to judge them...you help them find the true LOVE from CHRIST and His BLOOD....starting out by hurting their feelings is not the route to take on the journey of helping them to see they need that Demonic spirit to be broke....it would be the same thing telling an over weight person that they are FAT,NASTY and discusting because they sin by overeating...Im just giving a little advice on reaching out to the HURTING homosexual population you have to let them know You Love them and they arent any nastier than any other sinner...because SIN is SIN and our heavenly LOVING GOD wouldnt hurt a sinner in need of forgiveness....Show them christ Love and dont throw stones because we all including you have our own NASTY sin...including our own little SECRET SINS...In Christ's UNCONDITIONAL LOVE Sheri Morgan
Sir: As people can be born with both genitals or no genitals; and may have horrible birth defects and brain malformations, etc. How can you make such a blanket statement as all homosexuality is sin. It is possible that because we live in a sin cursed world, peoples minds and brains can be improperly formed in the womb. Therefore, the part of your mind and/or brain that makes a girl desire a boy or vice versa could be flawed. This could be because of physical abnormalities or early developmental damage. To call this sin would be like calling an autistic person or a retarded person a sinner. Not by Adam's inherited nature or their actions but by birth. A person cannot help the cards they are dealt. I am not speaking of the vast majority of homosexuals. I agree sir that most homosexuals are sinning when they desire and act on their desires with the same gender. I am just pointing out that if a baby can be born with no brain and it's heart on the outside of it's body; maybe a person could be born with it's gender identification and sexual desire out of wack. Maybe we should say that we are all sinners and we all deserve hell and live in a cursed world. Maybe we should say that we have to take all thoughts captive and line them up with the mind of Christ. To act or dwell on a homosexual thought is sin. Instead of summarily judging everyone without love. PS I love JSM's and am not a Homosexual David Lawlor
