Going back to Acts 2:47 – “Praising God, and having favour with all the people (Jerusalem as a whole was favorably impressed by what they saw respecting these followers of Christ). And the Lord added to the Church daily such as should be Saved (many were coming to the Lord).” Note that it says: “And the Lord added to the Church daily.” Special attention must be given to this Scripture because it reminds us that it is the Lord, not a man’s program or even his invitation, which adds to the true Church. The Lord has a way of speaking to the heart of an individual.
Jesus said, “No man can come to Me, except the Father Who has sent Me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the Prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore who has heard, and has learned of the Father, comes unto Me” (Jn. 6:44-45). How did you come to Christ? Did you sense the Father draw you to His Son?
