A Warning for America from South Africa – by Alan Stang
This month I am sharing with you an article that I feel every Christian and American should read and pay attention to.
"A WARNING FOR AMERICA FROM SOUTH AFRICA "
by Alan Stang

NewsWithViews.com
I read this warning on my daily radio talk show last week, before the election. It is even more relevant now, because the same thing that was imposed on South Africa – by the United States – is now happening here. So many people have asked for a copy of this message from a South African journalist that I post it here. My comments on her comments are in bold. Of course the parallels cannot be exact, but see whether you recognize any of this.
By Gemma Meyer (Gemma Meyer is the pseudonym of a South African journalist. She and her husband, a former conservative member of parliament, still reside in South Africa.) People used to say that South Africa was 20 years behind the rest of the Western world. Television, for example, came late to South Africa (but so did pornography and the gay rights movement).
Today, however, South Africa may be the grim model of the future Western world, for events in America reveal trends chillingly similar to those that destroyed our country. America’s structures are Western. Your Congress, your lobbying groups, your free speech, and the way ordinary Americans either get involved or ignore politics are peculiarly Western, not the way most of the world operates. But the fact that only about a third of Americans deem it important to vote is horrifying in light of how close you are to losing your Western character.
Writing letters to the press, manning stands at county fairs, hosting fund-raising dinners, attending rallies, setting up conferences, writing your Congressman – that is what you know, and what you are comfortable with. Those are the political methods you’ve created for yourselves to keep your country on track and to ensure political accountability.
But woe to you if – or more likely, when – the rules change. White Americans may soon find themselves unable or unwilling to stand up to challenge the new political methods that will be the inevitable result of the ethnic metamorphosis now taking place in America. Unable to cope with the new rules of the game – violence, mob riots, intimidation through accusations of racism, demands for proportionality based on racial numbers, and all the other social and political weapons used by the have-nots to bludgeon treasure and power from the haves – Americans, like others before them, will no doubt cave in. They will compromise away their independence and ultimately their way of life.
That is exactly what happened in South Africa. I know, because I was there and I saw it happen. South Africa used to be one of the most advanced nations on earth. Then Washington intervened. Faced with revolution in the streets, strikes, civil unrest and the sheer terror and murder practiced by Nelson Mandela’s African National Congress (ANC), the white government simply capitulated in order to achieve “peace.”
MANDELA
Mandela was in jail for twenty-seven years not because he was an innocent black man but because he was a Communist terrorist who said in court that he was planning to kill people with bombs. He could have been released at any time simply by renouncing terrorism. He refused. Westerners need peace. They need order and stability. They are builders and planners. But what we got was the peace of the grave for our society.
The Third World is different – different peoples with different pasts and different cultures. Yet Westerners continue to mistake the psychology of the Third World and its peoples. Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe are perfect examples of those mistakes. Sierra Leone is in perpetual civil war, and Zimbabwe – once the thriving, stable Rhodesia – is looting the very people (the white men) who feed the country. Yet Westerners do not admit that the same kind of savagery could come to America when enough immigrants of the right type assert themselves. The fact is, Americans are sitting ducks for Third World exploitation of the Western conscience of compassion.
Those in the West who forced South Africa to surrender to the ANC and its leaders did not consider Africa to be the dangerous, corrupt, and savage place it is now in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Those Western politicians now have a similar problem looming on their own doorsteps: the demand for power and treasure from the non-Western peoples inside the realm.
Again, Washington forced Rhodesia into Communist hands. Rhodesia exported tons of food. Zimbabwe typically starves. Washington did this. It is already too late for South Africa, but not for America if enough people strengthen their spine and take on the race terrorists, the armies of the “politically correct” and, most dangerous of all, the craven politicians who believe “compassionate conservatism” will buy them a few more votes, a few more days of peace. White South Africans, you should remember, have been in that part of Africa for the same amount of time whites have inhabited North America; yet ultimately South Africans voted for their own suicide. We are not so very different from you.
South Africans voted for their own suicide. Did you?
We lost our country through skillful propaganda, pressure from abroad (not least from the U.S.A.), unrelenting charges of “oppression” and “racism,” and the shrewd assessment by African tyrants that the white man has many Achilles’ heels, the most significant of which are his compassion, his belief in the “equality of man,” and his “love your neighbor” philosophy – none of which are part of the Third World’s history.
See my recent piece – Before the Election: What You Must Do – about the deliberate cultivation of white guilt in the Communist government schools. The mainline churches played a big role in the demise of Western influence throughout Africa, too; especially in South Africa. Today’s tyrants were yesterday’s mission-school protégés. Many dictators in Africa were men of the cloth. They knew their clerical collars would deflect criticism and obfuscate their real aims, which had nothing whatever to do with the “brotherhood of man.”
THE QUESTION
Other tyrants, like the infamous Idi Amin, were trained and schooled by the whites themselves, at Oxford, Cambridge, and Harvard. After receiving the best from the West, they unleashed a resentful bloodlust against their benefactors.
From what I have seen and read thus far, I fear Americans will capitulate just as we did. Americans are, generally, a soft lot. They don’t want to quarrel or obstruct the claims of those who believe they were wronged. They like peace and quiet, and they want to compromise and be nice.
A television program that aired in South Africa showed a town meeting somewhere in Southern California where people met to complain about falling standards in the schools. Whites who politely spoke at the meeting clearly resented the influx of Mexican immigrants into their community. When a handful of Chicanos at the back of the hall shouted and waved their hands at them, the whites simply shrunk back into their seats rather than tell the noisemakers to shut up. They didn’t want to quarrel.
In America, the courts are still the final arbiters of society’s laws. But what will happen when your future majority refuses to abide by court rulings – as in Zimbabwe. What will happen when the new majority says the judges are racists, and that they refuse to acknowledge “white man’s justice”? What will happen when the courts are filled with their people, or their sympathizers? In California, Proposition 187 has already been overturned.
What will you do when the future non-white majority decides to change the names of streets and cities? What will you do when they no longer want to use money that carries the portraits of old, dead white “racists” and slave owners? Will you cave in, like you did on flying the Confederate flag? What about the national anthem? Your official language?
Don’t laugh. When the “majority” took over in South Africa, the first targets were our national symbols.
In another generation, America may well face what Africa is now experiencing – invasions of private land by the “have-nots”; the decline in health care quality; roads and buildings in disrepair; the banishment of your history from the education of the young; the revolutionization of your justice system.
In South Africa today, only 9 percent of murderers end up in jail. Court dockets are regularly purchased and simply disappear. Magistrates can be bribed as can the prison authorities, making escapes commonplace. Vehicle and airplane licenses are regularly purchased, and forged school and university certificates are routine.
What would you think of the ritual slaughter of animals in your neighbor’s backyard? How do you clean up the blood and entrails that litter your suburban streets? How do you feel about the practice of witchcraft, in which the parts of young girls and boys are needed for “medicinal” purposes? How do you react to the burning of witches?
Don’t laugh. All that is quite common in South Africa today.
RACISM?
Don’t imagine that government officials caught with their fingers in the till will be punished. Excuses – like the need to overcome generations of white racism – will be found to exonerate the guilty.
In fact, known criminals will be voted into office because of a racial solidarity among the majority that doesn’t exist among the whites. When Ian Smith of the old Rhodesia tried to stand up to the world, white South African politicians were among the Westerners pressuring him to surrender.
When Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe murders his political opponents, ignores unfavorable court decisions, terrorizes the population and siphons off millions from the state treasury for himself and his friends, South Africa’s new President Thabo Mbeki holds his hand and declares his support. That just happened a few weeks ago.
Your tax dollars will go to those who don’t earn and don’t pay. In South Africa, organizations that used to have access to state funds such as old age homes, the arts, and veterans’ services, are simply abandoned.
What will happen is Western structures in America will be either destroyed from without, or transformed from within, used to suit the goals of the new rulers. And they will reign either through terror, as in Zimbabwe today, or exert other corrupt pressures to obtain, or buy votes. Once power is in the hands of aliens, don’t expect loyalty or devotion to principle from those whose jobs are at stake. One of the most surprising and tragic components of the disaster in South Africa is how many previously anti-ANC whites simply moved to the other side.
Once you lose social, cultural, and political dominance, there is no getting it back again. Please note. Once it’s gone, it’s gone. Whatever you do later, however hard you fight, you cannot get it back.
Unfortunately, your habits and values work against you. You cannot fight terror and street mobs with letters to your Congressmen. You cannot fight accusations of racism with prayer meetings. You cannot appeal to the goodness of your fellowman when the fellowman despises you for your weaknesses and hacks off the arms and legs of his political opponents.
To survive, Americans must never lose the power they now enjoy to people from alien cultures. Above all, don’t put yourselves to the test of fighting only when your backs are against the wall. You will probably fail.
Millions around the world want your good life. But make no mistake: They care not for the high-minded ideals of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, and your Constitution. What they want are your possessions, your power, and your status.
And they already know that their allies among you, the “human rights activists,” the skillful lawyers and the left-wing politicians will fight for them, and not for you. They will exploit your compassion and your Christian charity, and your goodwill.
They have studied you, Mr. and Mrs. America, and they know your weaknesses well.
They know what to do.
Do you?

The article was chilling, I have two beautiful grandchildren and pray that people wake up, look around and begin to start to come together, become more active. Christians are too complacent. In our hearts we know what needs to be done and there is strength in numbers people. People standing together can make a difference. I urge everyone, when you hear or read about something in your area that you know is wrong, call your family and friends and together BE HEARD.
This is a great article! The muslims are being educated in our colleges and preaching hate in the mosques they build in America , they want Sharia law to be the law they are judged by in America so that they can do an honor killing if they need to ,etc. , and if America doesn’t wake up to what’s going on , it’s going to be bad.
We as christian americans must stand for TRUTH!.
That the muslim world and the charia law is a real danger not only to America is real.
That South Africa was once an advanced and prosperous country and that the situation there is in a mess actually is also a fact.
But what this journalist is not telling you in his article is that under the apartheid government, during this dark and shameful period in South African history, black people have not been treated like human beings, put in ghettos, no right to vote, not allowed to sit in the same bus or area and so on and so on. I know about all this because I was there too.The journalist is not telling you either what could have been done to avoid this actual situation, continue to practice apartheid??
South Africa is a very bad example and I felt very uncomfortable when I read this article in my “Evangelist’ copy.
Dear Frances, i would like to know your personal views on the Alan Stang article.Frances, i know that you do not support racism by using religous methods,but i need to know your views on this article,i need your help in explaning this article.Frances was this article placed in the october issue to warn Christians or to warn White American Christians. Frances i am a African American women it is pretty hard for me to,explain this article to the African American race.

“Let no trust be vested in men, but bind them down with the chains of the
Constitution”
The wave of the future for disaffected man;
such a noble experiment, our revolutionary plan.
World wide in scope, humanity’s salvation;
workers paradise, we’ll bring to every nation.
Utopia we’ll build, making all things new,
From the ash-heap of Capitalism and Monarchy too.
A socialist world is our humanist creed;
Securing the future, fulfilling all need.
That, opiate of the people, religion, must go;
Materialism shall prevail, all we atheists know.
From each, his abilities, to each one his need;
we’ve charted the course, the masses we lead.
Yet, the masses are dumb, they don’t understand,
so we use the whip, as we lead by the hand.
The firing squad too, for those who equivocate,
to insure a better tomorrow, we also learn to hate.
Counter-revolutionaries – we had to do them in;
required men to inform, even on their next of kin.
Mass killing for the cause, the end justifies the means;
starvation and deprivation to insure our lofty dreams.
Our collapse came too soon, we didn’t have the time,
to perfect our glorious system – punish every crime.
The proletariats were unthankful, tho’ for them we did it all.
Now, we find approval only in the western academic hall.

Prov. 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right to a man, but the end thereof is
the way of death.”
In the last 18 months, both Son Life Radio and Family Worship Center have changed my life and my family.
I visit Pastor Jimmy and Donnie’s sites as well as Sister Frances and Pastor Gabriel’s sites on occasion. But the meat and taters of the transformation in my life came from the “Message of the Cross” as it is explained daily on Son Life and on Sundays at my church Family Worship Center.
I receive the monthly newsletter in which this article appeared. I read it three times.
First read — WOW. Bold. It reads as a sensational piece of propaganda. Here are my points. The language is very strong and the message is relayed in a direct manner with little fluff, pageantry, or apology. Something that most Americans are not accustomed. (A) I knew nothing about the real reason behind Mandela’s imprisonment. (B) I note, here is a writer who speaks of the tender subject of racism in the US without the admonishment of white guilt within. Nor does this journalist write with what some Americans consider “sensible or palatable” conversation when discussing race. (C) I question if the situation is as it were and as it is in South Africa. Are the details relayed in this article fact or fiction and how much is this writer speaking from a stand of justice verses a stand of prejudice?
In that same sitting I read part one of Pastor Jimmy’s explanation on Alcohol. Riveting. The information we do not know. The information we do not want to know and contend with. In a very short period of time, I have come to rely on Pastor Jimmy to expose certain truths and I fear not because by the end of his teaching, he demonstrates and witnesses to anyone listening on how to live in victory with Christ. Not only does he do that, but he admonishes anyone not to hail salvation on merits of a religion or denomination or church or formula or book or any particular fruit of your personal labor but to know that salvation comes exclusively in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. And more on point as Pastor Gabriel comments in this months newsletter specifically about “boca” or “garbage dump”. To magnify both the instructions from Pastor Jimmy and the letter that Sister Frances brings to our attention. And to paraphrase Pastor Gabriel from his recent radio commentary and in the Nov 2011 newsletter — The world is upside down, powerful forces of darkness have seduced the world successfully in glorifying the revelry of wickedness in the flesh and shunning and ridiculing that which is good, right and Holy in Christ. We are living in and around a garbage dump full of lies and deceit. My point in this paragraph, as much as the Bible is coherent and compliments itself, so do the pastors and leaders at Family Worship Center fervently attempt to instruct in the same vein. They are of one accord when it comes to ministering the Word of God. I believe not only the “Message” but the prudence in which each member of leadership checks one another and keeps one another on point as it regards the right path to Victory.
I read the article for the second time. In this sitting, I was armed with a small bit of research on the precise reasoning for Mandela’s imprisonment and if the points made by the journalist are true. They are. The problem for most American readers — in the US as courtesy of US media — Nelson Mandela’s freedom was reported and propagated as some kind of victory against forces of evil, especially white forces of evil and that his imprisonment was unjust. That he was a casualty, imprisoned under the ruse of the old establishment of apartheid. Add to that, photo ops with Hollywood celebrities and even our former President Bill Clinton and there was a picture etched in our head that this man, Nelson Mandela, was some kind of hero. Which as it were and as I now know, he is most certainly not. In this second reading of the article, the harsh tone of the letter was not as sharp and foul on my palate because I had checked the information regarding Mandela and the condition of the country of South Africa both then and now and I had an understanding of the injustice. Specifically that a criminal was hailed as a hero and that a relatively good country was wrecked by a wave of criminals. I checked the facts on the state of affairs in general of South Africa. What was it then? What is it now? And yes, I found that this journalist is indeed painting an accurate depiction of what was and what is.
In this second reading of the article, I was again reminded and I saw that there are no words to solicit support of African Americans and Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans. Essentially, there are no words of encouragement to console the good upstanding Christian Americans of the US that are of color. Nor are there any words to solicit the same fervor of all Americans in general who do not want their country to go to the dogs. Which highlights my point that this particular writer is distinctly a white South African who feels no remorse for stating stark truths. Nor has this journalist hailed or recited a litany of anyone of color in South Africa -as the information relates to South Africa, nor anyone of color in America- as the information relates to America who may have contributed in a noble way to the goodness of South Africa or the goodness of America. Verses being an American journalist and the way articles on race are written in America. Note that most times when an American journalist either black or white speaks of race and wants to tackle an injustice — if he is BLACK and learned he feels compelled to nod at and mention the sensitivities of race and morality in the words of Abraham Lincoln and wink at the white American reader and if he is WHITE and learned he feels compelled to mention the sensitivities of race and morality in the words of Dr Martin Luther King Jr thereby winking and garnering sympathy of the black American reader. As if, he, the journalist is not capable of talking straight without nodding his head and bringing in the collective audience of all who are American. And in more recent times, there too are American journalist who are Hispanic American or Asian American who tackle the same subject in the same vein. As if being American period is not correct, he must distinguish what type of American he is. This is a long tangent on sensibilities or lack there of in America. But an important tangent as it relates to how we process information on race in articles that state justice or injustice as it regards race. Very few times can an African American journalist state the “truth” without getting a back lash from the African American community. Internally African Americans and Hispanic Americans and Asian Americans are divided amongst themselves on what it means to be this that or the third as it regards both a person of color and an American. And most interesting, I ponder how Abraham Lincoln or Dr King would react to various Americans further distinguishing themselves by ethnicity with the usage of descriptive adjective verses simply being “American”. Interesting also, when it comes to race and racism, as it is customary and acceptable for an American of color to distinguish himself as African, Hispanic or Asian — any white American who walks around publicly pronouncing himself as Caucasian American rather then simply an American is found by most to be odd, obtuse, awkward and a racist. That, ladies and gentleman, ushers in the double sided sword of racism.
Origins of white guilt. It is common to throw terms and information around in this day as if we know what we are talking about. When it most cases, our only claim to “knowing” the information is via the search engine Google or the website Wikipedia or by word of mouth. In many cases, many Americans walk around spewing “stuff” they overheard and not necessarily information they have researched and studied or cross referenced. I believe “white guilt” seeped into the collective conscious of our nation after black and white soldiers returned from WW II to social and civil injustice in their our own native land AND more pointedly during the demonstrations against the war in Vietnam with flag burnings on prestigious American universities by white fortunate sons who felt guilt and shame for so much. Here is the clincher. GUILT and SHAME. And the way Satan has used both to cripple the United States of America is quit literally horrific. Dont waste time watching horror movies during this ill conceived month of merriment to Prince of Darkness. Just take a moment to consider how guilt and shame is bringing us to ruin. You can read and look at footage and photographs from the 60s and 70s and see how the white boy in college, the fortunate son, cries out for justice — For the way land was stolen from the “Indians”, for the way “Blacks, Negros or People of Color” were used as slaves in the most vile and dispicable manner and then discriminated against socially and legally for decades, for the war that was going on in Vietnam, and for a list of other bad deeds including the Nixon Scandal and various reports of US Government scandal and abuse from disease laden blankets distributed to Native Americans during the Trail of Tears down to the Tuskegee Experiments and anything going on right now that we know not of. And as Satan twists and turns the truth… these fortunate sons did not cry out to make wrongs right. But he cried out by burning our flag, dancing around naked, and carrying on in the most licentious way. A lesson to us all. On how a nation can crumble slowly when guilt shame and fear seeps into the heart of its Citizens. Think back. Before the 60s and 70s, it was “right” and “just” and “good” to be in church on Sundays. Or so they say, as i know not by personal experience since i was born in 1979. In those days, if you wanted to be considered as a decent person, simply decent and not perfect or holier then thou, well then you were in church on Sunday. And in those days, I do believe most still living today who can testify would agree, if you had the right conviction in your heart then you went to church on Sunday because you knew your were a sinner and you knew you needed God’s forgiveness and mercy. May I ask, what happened after the revolution of the 60′s and 70′s? What happened to the collective consciousness of America? How did America begin to view anyone of authority? Anyone, even God? And today — are not some of the same Hippies of that ill reputed glorious golden age now Conservative Republicans who are finding their way back to Christ? And exactly how much of a golden age was it for personal and civil freedoms of America when it liberated women to abandon homes and families and kill the future of their nation inside their own womb? Be as it may, this South African journalist is not American and does not have to write like an American journalist for the article to convey reality and plain truth. This South African journalist is aware of white guilt in America to an extent and as it relates to white guilt of South Africans. As you might notice, I spent a few hours pondering the content and the intent of the letter.
So here we are. The notes of particular interest were checked to see if they are factual. The journalist is revealed as a writer that neither has to be politically correct nor sway an audience on the basis of ethnic persuasion. In that second reading, I was moved to copy the article and share it with everyone I knew yet I hesitated.
In the third reading… In the third reading. In the third reading! All research and explanations aside. And without copying the article and distributing it to family and friends. I read it in a spirit of prayer and humility. Praying for our nation. Specifically for our nation as a whole to wake up. For every man, woman and child not only of this nation but throughout the world. To not look at your individual country and at each other as American, Canadian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, French, British, Black or Brown or White, Republican or Democrat, Conservative or Liberal, Christian, Jew, or Indifferent. But to wake up, wake up! Identify the garbage dump that we are living in regardless of where you rest your head and call home. Identify the garbage dump that is promoted around you. And bear witness. Be a light. Pray. Live by the Message of the Cross. And bear witness to others about Christ and what He has done for you.
I stopped by today to read the article again and to check out the general consensus. I leave by saying THANK YOU. Thank you. May God protect, preserve and bless this Ministry as it sends out the Message of the Cross to the world.

I find the Ministry of Son Life is indeed an oasis of Truth in a desert that is “Christian media”. Yet, the comment , “the confederate flag” that it is referenced and repeated phases “white American ‘ ;”white man” , did not set right with me. (personally i am white) . I do understand the erode in our country on all fronts , especially , Faith in Christ our Lord and Savior. I also, recognize , there has been racial divide in our nation and though out the world — ALWAYS. Yet, this is a product of a Fallen World and Sin. When our Lord Jesus will come to set up His Kingdom, He will make ALL things just and right . He IS THE RIGHTEOUS ONE.
This is true H.J. muslims are being educated in the masses here on American soil. I have been in college for 3 years now, and in appears we have an influx of muslims at my school. It seems as if there is an agenda. I don’t believe this is just a coincidence. It appears ever since Obama has been in office, we have had an out break of muslims in our country, after all, Obama did say (and I’m paraphrasing) “I will stop anyone who is against muslims where ever they are”… very close to what he said though. Still yet claiming he is/was Christian? Does he remember what he says? I heard him quote something he called the “christian bible” but it wasn’t out of my Christian Bible that is for sure. He seems a little confused with his mouth speaks but his heart is clearly muslim… We better wake up America before it is too late! I can see it very clearly now, and we need to unite and stop this! They have become very aquatinted with American rights, and YES, I agree they will use it against us.
In the spring of 2011 I had an instructor for two classes 1. World religion 2. Political Ideology (honors class). One of the first questions he asked our class was what we thought was the problem in America today? I gave him a straight answer and basically said; We have lost our Christian roots and the accuracy of our history has been tarnished and much of it erased regarding our fore Father’s such as George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and so forth. This country was founded on Christianity and we have allowed too many other religions to take root and corrupt our country with false religion and beliefs… We have given our God no choice but to take his his hand away from our Country. They say George Washington was not Christians (he was). I mentioned the men involved in creating our Declaration of Independence were Christian and retrieved their wisdom form GOD and seeking for answers in the Holy Bible… that we have become too complacent and just too nice about all this sin trampling our American soil. He stood there literal for a couple of minutes staring at me with his hand to his chin… this raised other questions in the class that were directed at me, and I answered the questions. Some were angry (muslim) and some really wanted to understand what I was saying (American). The contrast was interesting… He released the class shortly after that… he didn’t know how to respond to my answer at that moment, however, I had him the next day for world religion… this man was now targeting me. After this class (world religion) he called me over and said wait for me I want to talk to you. I did. After the student left that was speaking to him, the instructor went to the board and wrote George Washington and next to his name he wrote; “deist” and looked at me. I just nodded my head NO and walked out of his class… About two or three weeks into the semester he was looking at me (very weird) again and was talking about Christian faith and how Christians say we have one GOD, but really there is three etc.
He was now coming into class in this white attire like a muslim would wear and started talking openly about his muslim faith every chance he got… it appeared he waited till the time lapsed for the students to get their money back. Sneaky… I was in my Political ideologies class (same instructor) and he was being very nice and bringing in muslim food for the class, but with me, he would make it a point to give me the better piece, personally? I felt uncomfortable with his behavior. I prayed over my food, he didn’t seem to like that… He spoke of his religion in some detail and I spoke of my Christian faith when I had the chance… when I was leaving class he looked me square in the eye and said: “The Cross makes me laugh!” and he started laughing. I really didn’t know what to say, he caught me off guard. I walked out of class and straight to withdrawing from both of his classes. I lost a lot of money for books and tuition, but I know it was the right decision… he was not a person I wanted to learn from. I don’t dislike him and I prayed for him. Also he had muslim students and apparently trying to convert others too. However, I do PRAY for my country now! Please take heed America and PRAY, PRAY, PRAY for GOD to forgive us for our ignorance and our passiveness!
God has it written 2 Chronicles 7:14! AMEN!
GOD bless all my Christian brother’s and sisters! We have a great deal of getting on our knees and praying for our country!
I, too, read the article about South Africa, but with intrigue. I knew of the REAL history of Mandela, but not the similarities of the revolution with America. I know where “White Guilt” began: in our Gov’t funded universities. I personally sat under a professor who had written books on such, “white guilt,” and was hailed (tenured) for these achievements. This professor could do no wrong in this college. Interestingly, and even though tenured, this professor left this coveted professorial position for another coveted professorial appointment at a university in a country “to the north.” This new position had to be approved by the new country’s regime.
I had to wonder, “Was this professor’s work done in this country? Why would someone leave a highly desired position with financial security (forever) for a new country?” This type of movement from a tenured job is highly unusual. From the article about the muslim professor, it seems we are seeing the universities, once again, a vehicle for indoctrination.
As a schoolteacher I quickly realized my Christianity was something to keep private (I worked at a public institution) or only share with other Christian teachers whom I knew as friends. One teacher and I prayed before class (a 7a.m. prayer meeting–these prayer meetings would sustain me). There is an oppressive spirit against teachers within the public school system and I believe the origin of such is because of the lack of God in the schools, evidenced by teachers afraid to speak openly about their faith in Jesus.
I’m wondering if other teachers have sensed this oppressive spirit in the public teaching sphere? I went into teaching to work with at-risk youth, but it is not possible to help the most needy students if you can not ultimately share Christ. Unfortunately, my career as a public school teacher was a disappointment.
In Christ’s Service,
Leslie
An added response to my above article:
It’s NOT that I am ‘afraid to speak openly’ about my faith in Jesus, but my sentiment is the following: I entered into my job within the public school system knowing the policy against teachers expressing their personal faith. I felt I had to honor that contractual agreement. Not only did I FEEL this way, I would have been fired had I done so. Also, I would not like an atheist or someone from another faith preach to my child or anyone’s children. Just had to clarify why I kept my faith private while on a gov’t sponsored job. Through health circumstances, I did leave that profession, but grieve for other Christian teachers within the public school systems, for they are many.
In Christ’s Service,
Leslie
